Banana Bread made with TWIX® Cookie Bars
Ingredients
Banana Bread Batter:
- 4 bananas, ripe
- ⅓ c unsalted butter, softened
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 T cinnamon, ground
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 6 T TWIX® Cookie Bars, ¼” chopped
Topping:
- 4 cookies shortbread cookie, ¾” chopped
- ½ c soft caramels, cut in half
- 6 T TWIX® Cookie Bars, ¼” chopped
- 1 banana, firm, ½” chopped
Banana Bread made with TWIX® Cookie Bars
Makes: 1 loaf (10 slices)
Direction
Banana Bread Batter:
- Combine bananas, butter and sugar. Blend until fully incorporated.
- Add egg, vanilla, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and flour. Mix until combined.
- Fold in chopped TWIX® Cookie Bars.
- Pour batter into a prepared loaf pan. (9"x5"x3")
Topping:
- Press the shortbread cookie pieces and caramels into the batter evenly. Top with chopped TWIX® Cookie Bars and the sliced bananas.
- Bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes or until fully baked. You may have to loosely cover the loaf with foil to prevent over browning.
- Remove from oven, cool completely and slice into 10 equal portions. Serve by the slice.
