Cajun Jalapeno Smokehouse Chili

  • 18 cups BEN’S ORIGINAL™ CONVERTED® Brand Rice, prepared and kept warm
  • 1 ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups applewood smoked bacon, thick cut, cooked and chopped
  • 6 tablespoons red onion, fresh and diced
  • 5 each jalapenos, fresh and sliced
  • 3 cups onion straws
  • 1 ½ cups pepper jack cheese, grated
  • 12 cups chili, prepared




Cajun Jalapeno Smokehouse Chili

Makes: 12 Servings

Hearty chili served over BEN’S ORIGINAL™ CONVERTED® Brand Rice topped with shredded pepper Jack cheese and crispy onion straws garnished with crumbled bits of smoky bacon, pickled jalapenos and chopped red onion finished with a drizzle of Cajun sour cream.



  1. Prepare rice according to package directions. Hold warm.
  2. To prepare Cajun sour cream, combine sour cream, heavy cream and Cajun seasoning in bowl and whisk to blend. Hold chilled.
  3. To serve, portion rice in bowl and top with chili, Pepper Jack cheese, Cajun sour cream, red onion, onion straws, jalapenos and bacon. Serve.
